Bajaj Auto advances on the buzz to export 10,000 units of Qute in FY17

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2384.30, up by 9.50 points or 0.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 2374.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2375.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2396.90 and Rs. 2350.15 respectively. So far 5844 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2655.00 on 23-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1913.80 on 30-Apr-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2477.40 and Rs. 2356.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 68621.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.30% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.04% and 24.66% respectively.

Bajaj Auto is reportedly aiming to export 10,000 units of the Qute, its indigenously developed quadricycle, in FY17. In 2015-16, exports of the light four-wheeler closed at 334 units to 19 markets, ranging from Turkey and Russia to Indonesia and Peru.

The company is raising output at its Waluj (Aurangabad) factory to meet the export demand, expected at 500-plus units in April 2016.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
