Apollo Hospitals gains on plan to invest Rs 600 crore in FY17

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise is currently trading at Rs. 1373.50, up by 12.80 points or 0.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 1360.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1358.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1375.00 and Rs. 1355.00 respectively. So far 3289 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1544.00 on 02-Mar-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1131.80 on 30-Apr-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1375.00 and Rs. 1332.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 18930.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.35% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.22% and 19.42% respectively.

In bid to increase bed count to 9,000, Apollo Hospitals is planning to invest Rs 600 crore by the end of financial year 2017.  The company has currently 8,400 beds. Besides, the hospital group is also planning to start an advanced cardiac care facility in Ahmedabad with an investment of around Rs 60 crore, and it intends to have 10 such centers across India.
