L&T’s subsidiary bags new orders worth Rs 1120 crore

Larsen & Toubro’ subsidiary -L&T construction -has bagged new orders valued at Rs 1120 crore across various business segments in March 2012. Company’s power transmission and distribution IC has secured new international orders worth Rs 548 crore from Abu Dhabi Water Electricity Authority, UAE, for the construction of 220Kv overhead lines, switching stations and other related electrical works. L&T Oman LLC, part of L&T Construction, has bagged a new order worth Rs 156 crore from a reputed client for the construction of an electrical substation and associated work.

Meanwhile, the company’s building and Factories work IC has secured orders aggregating Rs 416 crore from various customers, major orders include those for construction of factory projects and include contracts for additional work from various ongoing projects.
