Hero MotoCorp gains on plan to set up a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 2955.00, up by 22.90 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 2932.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2932.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2963.45 and Rs. 2932.10 respectively. So far 56833 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3170.00 on 13-Apr-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2252.00 on 08-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3064.50 and Rs. 2919.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 58788.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.64% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 56.09  and 9.27  respectively.

Hero MotoCorp, country’s largest two-wheeler maker, has decided to invest Rs 3,000 crore to set up a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. The plant will have a capacity of 1.8 million units. For the new facility, the state government has allocated around 600 acres at Tada in Chittoor district, close to Chennai. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be unveiling the foundation stone next month. Meanwhile, the company is planning to set up two more facilities, at Neemrana in Rajasthan and Halol in Gujarat.

Hero Motocorp, formerly Hero Honda, is an Indian motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in New Delhi, India. It sells products under the brand names such as Karizma ZMR, Splender, Xteme, Hunk, Impulse, Achiever, Ignitor, Glamour, Passion Pro, Maestro and Pleasure etc.
