Reliance Power’s Sasan Power achieves 100% PLF in April

Reliance Power’s Sasan Power (SPL) has achieved Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 100% during the month of April 2016. This is best-in-class performance among the large-size power stations in the Indian Power Sector, which benefits nearly 42 crore population served by seven procurer states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand & Delhi.

During 2015-16, which was Sasan UMPP’s first full year of operations, it achieved highest PLF of 90% among the comparable size power stations and produced 17 Million Tonnes coal, which makes it the highest coal producer among the private sector players.

The Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project implemented in Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh, is the largest integrated power plant cum coal mining project at a single location in the world, with an investment of over Rs 27,000 crore.
