Allahabad Bank declines on reporting net loss of Rs 581.13 crore in Q4

Allahabad Bank is currently trading at Rs 50.00, down by 2.50 points or 4.76% from its previous closing of Rs 52.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 50.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 51.40 and Rs. 49.55 respectively. So far 284986 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 110.00 on 15-May-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 39.50 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 55.60 and Rs. 51.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3059.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.38% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.23% and 14.39% respectively.

Allahabad Bank has posted a net loss of Rs 581.13 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to a net profit of Rs 202.63 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has decreased by 6.29% at Rs 5051.38 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5390.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the bank has posted a net loss of Rs 743.31 crore as compared to a net profit of Rs 620.90 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of bank decreased 4.22% at Rs 20795.07 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 21712.13 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the bank has posted a net loss of Rs 719.84 crore as compared to a net profit of Rs 649.02 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of bank has decreased by 4.04% at Rs 21006.81 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 21891.53 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
