Gail (India) has reported results for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2016.
The company has posted a rise of 50.76% in its net profit at Rs 769.99 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 510.75 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has decreased by 17.74% at Rs 11952.82 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 14529.95 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a fall of 24.36% in its net profit at Rs 2298.90 crore as compared to Rs 3039.17 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company has decreased by 8.39% at Rs 52771.85 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 57602.84 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted a fall of 28.75% in its net profit at Rs 2251.62 crore as compared to Rs 3160.05 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company has decreased by 9.5% at Rs 55716.79 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 61567.38 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
