SJVN, state-run power generator, expects a total of 8,690 million units of power generation in FY17. During the fourth quarter of FY16, the company generated 999 million units from the Jhakri project, 291 million units from its Rampur project and around 4 million units from wind mill. The overall Plant Load Factor (PLF) for the company was around a little over 100 percent in FY16.
SJVN is a joint venture between the Central government and Himachal Pradesh state government. The company owns and operates India’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.
