Reliance Power’s 8000 MW of power projects in Madhya Pradesh on track

Reliance Power’s 8000 MW of power projects in Madhya Pradesh are running well on schedule and further the company has informed that it is proceeding ahead with the implementation of its projects as per schedule.

Earlier, the company decided to scale up its three ultra mega power projects of 4,000 MW each at Sasan, Krishnapatnam, and Tilaiya along with Chitrangi plant in Madhya Pradesh by 50% to generate an additional 8000 MW of power.

Recently, the company’s imported coal based 3960 MW Krishnapatnam Ultra Mega Power Project (KUMPP), got registered with Clean Development Mechanism Executive Board (CDM-EB) of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). With this registration, the company has now become the largest supplier of CERs among the Indian power generation companies with 3.48 million CERs.
