Maithon Power (MPL), a 74:26 joint venture (JV) between Tata Power and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), has been honoured with 2nd runners up award by JSPCB (Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board) for Environment Management on the occasion of World Environment Day.The award was given on 'World Environment Day' at a seminar organised by JSPCB at BNR CHANAKYA Ranchi. The JSPCB awards were held to recognize the efforts by the industries towards protecting the environment and prevent pollution. The company is the first to be honoured among the various power companies.
