Cash strapped Kingfisher Airline, in order to restore the lost trust and confidence among customers, have decided to clear the refunds of all its passengers from next week. Hence, travelers who have lost money due to sudden cancellation of Kingfisher flights will start getting their refund through their travel agents from next week.
Kingfisher has also issued a circular to travel agents across the city, stating the company has maintained deposit money with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to ensure passengers get their refund.
Earlier, the beleaguered airline reported that it is likely to return and impend deregistration of at least five ATR aircraft. The turbo-prop aircraft are used for flights to secondary cities. In the last few days, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation received a letter from a lawyer firm to deregister the five ATR aircraft.
