Corporation Bank trades with traction on the bourses

Corporation Bank is currently trading at Rs. 37.10, up by 0.45 points or 1.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 36.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 36.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 37.60 and Rs. 36.60 respectively. So far 74755 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 56.25 on 18-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 30.75 on 25-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 37.60 and Rs. 35.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3798.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.20%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.60% and 6.19% respectively.

In order to promote its premium savings accounts among high net worth individuals, PSUs and government departments, Corporation Bank has reportedly launched a new marketing campaign namely ‘SB premier league campaign’. The Bank has also launched two variants of payroll savings account namely Corp Pay Elite and Corp Pay Delite exclusively for government employees and employees of PSUs, which offer best in class facilities and high end features.

The bank reported a net loss of Rs 510.96 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to net profit of Rs 45.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank decreased by 3.09% at Rs 5218.62 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5385.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
