Tata Power celebrates safety week at Mundra UMPP site in Gujarat

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated private utility has celebrated safety week at its 4000 MW Mundra Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) being developed by its subsidiary Coastal Gujarat Power (CGPL). The company is always been committed to world class safety practices at its facilities.

During the 41st National Safety Week Celebration at Mundra UMPP, several awareness programmes and competitions were organized for the workforce and associates. Safety day Opening function was attended by all senior officials of the project and was presided by Deputy Director - Industrial Safety and Health, Kutch region.

The week-long celebrations included various programmes related to safety measures such as electrical safety training; work at Height training, confined space safety and welding and gas cutting safety training.

Tata Power is India's largest integrated private sector power utility with an installed generation capacity of 5297 MW and a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
