20 Jun 2016 Evaluate

SpiceJet, the country’s budget carrier has reportedly joined hands with cab aggregator 'mytaxiindia' (MTI) to offer 'taxi pick-up' option. As part of the plan, the company would give passengers the option of booking a taxi to reach the airport. The option will be available at the time of booking the flight ticket. By doing so, the airline (which operates to 35 destinations across the country), would attract more passengers, thereby increasing its revenues. Further, the partnership with 'mytaxiindia' will encourage the company to explore more routes where the demand could be higher.

SpiceJet was among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector. The airline was launched with an objective to deliver the lowest air fares with the highest consumer value, to price sensitive consumers. The company has alliance with some of the best names known globally like Honeywell, Weber Seats, etc, to ensure highest safety standards.
