Andhra Bank spurts on plan to raise Rs 1000 crore through debentures issue

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs 55.90, up by 0.60 points or 1.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 55.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 55.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 56.10 and Rs. 55.25 respectively. So far 81181 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 81.55 on 18-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 41.75 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 56.00 and Rs. 50.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3766.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.26%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.84% and 15.89% respectively.

Andhra Bank has decided to come out with 8.65% - 10 years (call option after 5 years) Unsecured Non-convertible Redeemable Basel- III Compliant Tier-2 Debt Bonds Series-C, in the nature of Debentures of Rs 10 lakh each for cash at par aggregating to Rs 1000 crore. The issue shall be opened for subscription on June 22, 2016 and will close on June 27, 2016 with the deemed date of allotment shall be June 27, 2016.

The bank has posted a fall of 72.14% in its net profit at Rs 51.60 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 185.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased by 9.05% at Rs 5124.37 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4699.16 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
