Tata Power gains as its arm wins 30 MW solar project in Maharashtra

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 74.10, up by 0.70 points or 0.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 73.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 73.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 74.20 and Rs. 73.45 respectively. So far 20,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 77.95 on 13-Jun-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 55.00 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 77.10 and Rs. 72.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 20,041.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.02%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 50.70% and 16.13% respectively.

Tata Power Company’s 100% subsidiary -- Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) has won solar grid connected photovoltaic project of 30 MW in Maharashtra. The projects have been awarded in the DCR category under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) Phase -II Batch - III Tranche - I under state specific bundling schemes. TPREL has received the letter of Intent to develop the projects and will sign a 25 year power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam.
