Maruti Suzuki to increase production of Baleno: Report

In order to meet the current demand and reduce waiting period, Maruti Suzuki India is reportedly planning to increase production of its premium hatchback Baleno. Launched in October 2015, Baleno has a waiting period of between six month and eight months, depending on the variant. Its sales touched 10,000 units in May 2016, which is the best in a month for the premium hatchback so far.

Moreover, the company is also planning to launch the new Ignis, the small crossover, during the festive season this year. The model is currently undertaking testing on the Indian roads and will be the third model to be sold through Maruti Nexa premium dealerships.

Maruti Suzuki India (formerly known as Maruti Udyog) is an automobile manufacturer in India. It provides passenger cars, utility vehicles and vans. The firm also offers pre-owned car sales, fleet management and car financing services.
