Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler maker has reported 2.41% increase in its sales for March at 5,28,290 units. The company had sold 5,15,852 units during the same month last year.
For the entire 2011-12 fiscal, the company crossed 60- lakh sales mark for the first time by dispatching a cumulative of 62,35,205 units as against 54,02,444 units in the previous fiscal, up 15.41%.
The company’s net profit for the third quarter ended December, 2011 increased by 43% at Rs 613 crore against Rs 429 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Total income increased 17% to Rs 6,108 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5,224 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
