IL&FS Transportation Networks has received a letter of award from PWD, Rajasthan. The company was the sole bidder for the bid submitted with the Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Rajasthan on behalf of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India for development and operation of Sikar-Bikaner Section from 340.188 km of NH-11 to 557.775 km of NH-II via Sikar Bypass and Bikaner Bypass from 553.869 km of NH-11 to 267.325 km of NH-89 for two laning with paved shoulder in the state of Rajasthan through public-private partnership (PPP) on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.
The project is on toll basis with a concession period of 25 years including construction period of 2 years and the estimated cost of the project is Rs 650.84 crore. The company had quoted a grant of Rs 247.32 crore for project.
IL&FS Transportation Networks has been involved in the development, operation and maintenance of national and state highways, roads (including urban roads), flyovers and bridges in Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Jharkhand and Rajasthan.
