Mangalore based, Karnataka Bank is likely to inaugurate 50 more branches and 100 new ATMs during the fiscal. With this, the bank's branches will be increased to 550 and ATMs to 450. The bank aims a business turnover of Rs 65,000 crore for 2012-13. It is likely to achieve a growth rate of 25% this fiscal. During 2011-12, its business turnover exceeded Rs 52,000 crore.
During last fiscal, number of branches crossed the 500 mark, and the customer base crossed 50 lakh during the period. The bank, which acquired 7.5 lakh customers in 2011-12, plans to add more than 10 lakh new customers during 2012-13. It also aims to introduce mobile banking services for its customers.
Karnataka Bank has a national presence with a network of 463 branches across 19 states and 2 Union Territories.
