FTIL slips on receiving notice on alleged Infringement of copyrighted work of Modulus

FTIL is currently trading at Rs. 87.10, down by 0.35 points or 0.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 87.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 86.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 87.55 and Rs. 86.10 respectively. So far 5,512 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 169.60 on 06-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 71.40 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 88.65 and Rs. 84.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 401.34 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.63%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.68% and 41.69% respectively.

Financial Technologies (India) (FTIL) has received copy of Notice of Motion and Suit filed by Modulus Financial Engineering Inc, USA (Modulus) at the High Court, Bombay, alleging infringement of copyright of software with reference to the license Agreements entered into with them since 2008.

The company has however denied any such infringement as alleged and is taking appropriate measures in consultation with its legal counsel. The company believes that the impact of the suit is currently not readily ascertainable.
