Ruchi Soya Industries (Ruchi Soya) has been ranked at 175 in the top 250 consumer products companies, in the ‘Global Powers of the Consumer Products Industry 2012’ report published by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (Deloitte). The report in its 5th annual version identifies the 250 largest consumer product companies around the world based on the publicly available data for the companies’ fiscal year 2010 encompassing companies’ fiscal years ended through June 2011.
Based on the net sales of $3958 million, as reported by Deloitte, Ruchi Soya was ranked 175. Only three Indian consumer products companies - Ruchi Soya, ITC (ranked 143) and Videocon Industries (ranked 235) have featured in the list of top 250 consumer products companies from across the world.
Besides, Ruchi Soya was also featured in the 50 fastest growing consumer companies globally and improved its position to 19 (20 in 2011) as it witnessed 26.4% growth in net sales. The company is engaged in the manufacture of edible oils, vanaspati, bakery fats and soya foods.
