Axis Bank rises as its foreign equity limit increased to 74%

Axis Bank is currently trading at Rs. 544.30, up by 4.70 points or 0.87% from its previous closing of Rs 539.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 539.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 544.90 and Rs. 536.00 respectively. So far 109548 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 613.40 on 16-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 366.65 on 18-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 544.90 and Rs. 514.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 129869.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 58.61% and 10.63% respectively.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cleared the proposal of Axis Bank for increasing foreign shareholding limit from existing 62 per cent to 74 per cent which is expected to bring in capital inflow of around Rs 13,000 crore into the country.
