Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm -- L&T Constructions has bagged orders worth Rs 3,598 crore across various business segments. Under Heavy Civil infrastructure Business, along with its partner, PES Engineers, it has won a major order worth Rs 1,849 crore from the Irrigation and Command Area Development Department (I&CAD), Government of Telangana. The project is for the construction of a barrage with radial gates, hoisting arrangements including formation of guide bunds on either side of the barrage across river Godavari at Medigadda, Mahadevapur in the district of Karimnagar, Telangana.
The Water & Effluent Treatment Business has bagged engineering, procurement & construction orders worth Rs 1,043 crore from prestigious customers. A major order has been secured from the Water Resources Department of Madhya Pradesh for the construction of a balancing reservoir, distribution chamber and pumping station at Bansujara left bank's main canal in the Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh.
The Building & Factories Business has secured an order worth Rs 394 crore from a reputed IT major for the construction of software development blocks. The project includes civil, structural, MEP and finishes works while the Power Transmission & Distribution Business has bagged engineering, procurement & construction orders worth Rs 312 crore in the international market.
