Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL), a state-run power equipment maker’s subsidiary - Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels (BHPV) has recorded a turnover of Rs 158.35 crore during 2011-12. This is an increase of 15.6% compared to Rs 136.97 crore posted by the company during the last fiscal. For 2011-12, the profit after tax (PAT) was Rs 9.03 crore compared to Rs 8.77 crore during the last fiscal.
In a separate development BHEL has funded Rs 235 crore for modernisation scheme at BHPV which is firmly on track and this would help in achieving sustained growth and profitability in the years to come.
