Gujarat Industries Power Company’s (GIPCL) unit-1 (125 MW) of Surat Lignite Power Plant (SLPP) has restored to normal operations on April 06, 2012, after necessary repairs.
Earlier, GIPCL’s generator rotor of unit - 1 (125MW) of SLPP located at village Nani Naroli, taluka Mangrol, district Surat, stopped work because of electrical earth fault on January 01, 2012. The rotor had been shipped to their works at Hyderabad where they had identified the exact damage.
GIPCL is a Vadodara-based public limited company engaged in the business of power generation with an installed capacity of 810 MW as on March 31, 2011.
