JSW Energy has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2016.
The company has reported 14.42% rise in its net profit at Rs 225.06 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 196.70 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income increased by 5.99% to Rs 1409.57 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1329.88 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 18.68% rise in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates and Joint Ventures at Rs. 366.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs. 308.85 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total Income of the company increased by 15% to Rs. 2491.67 crore for quarter under review from Rs.2166.71 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
Karcham Wangtoo hydro projects were acquired during September 2015, hence figures for the corresponding quarter of the previous year are not comparable.
