Kotak Mahindra Bank gains on plan to raise Rs 5,000 crore via bonds issue

Kotak Mahindra Bank is currently trading at Rs 762.30, up by 1.50 points or 0.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 760.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 765.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 765.00 and Rs 753.20 respectively. So far 30295 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 790.00 on 21-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 586.50 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 790.00 and Rs 753.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 140032.75 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.64% and 25.66% respectively.

Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank has received its board’s approval to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore by issuing bonds. The company’s board gave approval for the same at the meeting held on July 21, 2016.

The bank reported almost fourfold jump in net profit to Rs 741.97 crore in the first quarter ended June of current financial year. The total earnings during the period also rose to Rs 5,120.03 crore as against Rs 4,583.86 crore in the year ago period.
