Decolight Ceramics has decided to defer the production in one of the kilns to avoid overstocking till the economic and demand scenarios further improve. Consequently, the company is presently operating only one kiln utilizing about 40 to 50% of the total productive capacity.
Earlier, the company was operating two kilns in its manufacturing facilities for the production of its main item vitrified tiles. However, because of the tight credit situation and consequent slow down in construction industry all over India coupled with the impact of the ongoing general slowdown / recession to ceramic industry, the management has reassessed the market potential / demand for vitrified tiles.
