Union Bank of India has been awarded the Best Bank award for use of technology for financial inclusion among large banks by Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT). The IDRBT Banking Technology Excellence Awards is synonymous with excellence in technology adoption, upgradation, absorption and innovation.
Union Bank of India is one of the largest government-owned banks of India. All the bank's branches have been networked with its 6909 ATMs as on 30 September 2015. The bank had 4196 branches in India as on 31 March 2016 and to add to it 4 overseas branches.
