KEC International soars on reporting 83% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

KEC International is currently trading at Rs 146.15, up by 2.65 points or 1.85% from its previous closing of Rs 143.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 145.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 148.25 and Rs 144.60 respectively. So far 72902 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 164.75 on 24-Nov-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs 97.45 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 148.25 and Rs. 139.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 3753.49 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.62% and 16.52% respectively.

KEC International has reported 12.74 % fall in its net profit at Rs 29.72 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 34.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income decreased by 11.99 % to Rs 1533.86 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1742.78 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 83.01 % rise  in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs. 30.91 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 16.89 crore for the same quarter in the previous year . Total Income of the company decreased by 7.08 % to Rs. 1789.74 crore for the quarter under review from Rs. 1926.12 crore for the same quarter ended June 30, 2015.
