Bosch surges on plan to start manufacturing anti-lock braking system for two-wheelers

Bosch is currently trading at Rs. 24492.15, up by 103.45 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 24388.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 24600.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 24784.90 and Rs. 24323.40 respectively. So far 244 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 26701.00 on 11-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 15752.65 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 25148.95 and Rs. 23900.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 76372.80 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 71.18%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.36% and 9.47% respectively.

Bosch is planning to start manufacturing anti-lock braking system (ABS) for two-wheelers at its Chakan plant near Pune from next fiscal. As per the company’s plan, the Chakan plant is likely to manufacture 7-8 lakh ABS for two-wheelers per annum.

The government has made it mandatory for all new motorcycles with displacement of 125 cc or more to be equipped with ABS from April 2018 and for all existing and new bikes from April 2019.
