Berger Paints gains on reporting 55% jump in Q1 consolidated net profit

Berger Paints India is currently trading at Rs. 241.80, up by 1.85 points or 0.77% from its previous closing of Rs. 239.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 240.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 246.00 and Rs. 237.85 respectively. So far 255705 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 267.00 on 15-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 139.23 on 25-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 249.60 and Rs. 227.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23203.77 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.98%, while institutions and non-institutions held 14.52% and 10.50% respectively.

Berger Paints India has registered a growth of 37.18% rise in its net profit at Rs 114.23 crore for the quarter ended 30, 2016 June as compared to Rs 83.27 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income increased by 9.71% to Rs 1169.49 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1065.98 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 54.50% rise in its net profit at Rs 120.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 77.84 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total Income of the company increased by 10.82% to Rs 1256.12 crore for quarter under review from Rs 1133.49 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
