Bajaj Auto declines on reporting marginal fall in July sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs 2723.40, down by 25.05 points or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 2748.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2750.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 2756.10 and Rs 2717.00 respectively. So far 8631 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2801.05 on 21-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2133.15 on 26-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2779.00 and Rs. 2650.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 79007.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.30%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.92% and 24.78% respectively.

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer, has registered a marginal fall of 0.12% in total sales to 329833 units in July 2016 against 330,231 units in July 2015.

The company has reported 7% drop in Commercial Vehicles sales, which stood at 44306 units as compared to 47798 units in month of July 2015. However, the sales of the motorcycles increased by just 1% and stood at 285,527 units in the month under review against 282,433 units in July 2015.

Meanwhile, the company’s total exports out of the above stood at 131,811 units as compared to 164,690 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
