Bata India reports 44% fall in Q1 net profit

Bata India has reported results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016.

The company has reported a fall of 44.01% in its net profit at Rs 50.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 90.19 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 1.01% to Rs 685.69 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 692.70 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Bata India is the largest retailer and leading manufacturer of footwear in India and is a part of the Bata Shoe Organization. The company manufactures footwear for men, women and children. The company manufactures shoes of various quality such as leather, rubber, canvas and PVC shoes.
