BF Utilities soars on reporting 86% rise in Q1 net profit

BF Utilities is currently trading at Rs. 564.00, up by 20.15 points or 3.71 % from its previous closing of Rs. 543.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 550.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 565.00 and Rs. 544.00 respectively. So far 196692 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 724.10 on 04-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 389.85 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 565.00 and Rs. 512.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2103.17 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.12% and 33.24% respectively.

BF Utilities has reported a rise of 85.81% in its net profit at Rs 2.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 1.48 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 3.57% to Rs 6.38 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 6.16 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

BF Utilities is engaged in power generation through wind mill technology. The company was set up to satiate the power requirements of the Kalyani Group companies, which have business interests in areas of steel making, forging, machining, etc.
