Nitesh Estates surges on plan to sell land parcel in Kochi for Rs 26.50 crore

Nitesh Estates is currently trading at Rs. 13.68, up by 0.99 points or 7.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 12.69 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 13.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 14.30 and Rs. 13.15 respectively. So far 1,60,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 19.20 on 11-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 11.00 on 25-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 14.30 and Rs. 12.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 199.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.41% and 30.09% respectively.

Nitesh Estates has decided to sell off the 4 acres of the land parcel located at Kakanad village in Kochi, Kerala. The company has finalized the same with a third party for a total consideration of Rs 26.50 crore. This step has been taken by the company in view of the sluggish market conditions.

The proceeds of the sale will be utilized to reduce the debts of the company. This transaction is expected to be completed by September 30, 2016.
