Hero Moto Corp trades higher on the bourses

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 2019.80, up by 47.45 points or 2.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 1972.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1991.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2025.00 and Rs. 1983.55 respectively. So far 24,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2248.00 on 14-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1482.25 on 15-Jul-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2025.00 and Rs. 1947.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 40,332 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.03% and 8.76% respectively.

Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler maker has reported 2.41% increase in its sales for March at 5, 28,290 units. The company had sold 5, 15,852 units during the same month last year.

For the entire 2011-12 fiscal, the company crossed 60- lakh sales mark for the first time by dispatching a cumulative of 62,35,205 units as against 54,02,444 units in the previous fiscal, up 15.41%.

The company’s net profit for the third quarter ended December, 2011 increased by 43% at Rs 613 crore against Rs 429 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Total income increased 17% to Rs 6,108 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5,224 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
