Escorts has sold its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and export business of auto products division to Pune’s Badve Engineering. The all-cash deal is part of the company’s planned strategic reorientation of the business to focus on core verticals in the agri-machinery, construction equipment and railway equipment.
Escorts’ auto products business comprises an extensive product basket catering to the OEMs and replacement market in India and overseas markets for all vehicle categories including motorcycles, scooters, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and multi-utility vehicles.
Escorts offer a comprehensive range of tractors with more than 45 variants starting from 25 to 80 HP. The company also manufactures and markets a diverse range of equipments like cranes, loaders, vibratory rollers and forklifts.
