The Kolkata based Linc Pen and Plastics is planning to set up a manufacturing facility in Gujarat entailing an investment of Rs 25 crore. The company is expecting the plant to be functional from next financial year after which the company’s capacity will increase by 20 percent.
The company has commenced the construction of the facility on Gujarat-Maharashtra border. The facility will be funded through internal accruals as well as the funds received from Mitsubishi Pencils. Currently, the company's facility in West Bengal produces close to 10-12 crore pens per month.
Recently, Linc Pen and Plastics had signed a ‘Business and Capital Alliance Agreement’ with Mitsubishi Pencil Co of Japan to issue 2 million equity shares of Rs 10 at the rate of Rs 100 per share. The company had a distribution agreement with Mitsubishi Pencil Co for its Uni/ Uni-ball since 1992.
