NHAI appoints MEP Infrastructure as Fee Collection Agency for Sau-Kala Toll Plaza

MEP Infrastructure has received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) dated August 26, 2016 from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) informing that MEP has been engaged as the contractor for the project of Sau-Kala at Km 200.100 (Aurangabad - Barachatti) from Km 180.000 to Km 240.000 of National Highway no-2, in the state of Jharkhand.

The contract is for user fee collection rights at Sau-Kala Toll Plaza. The period of contract is one year and the contractual amount for the said project is Rs 87.30 crore payable to NHAI on a weekly basis over a period of one year. The operations will commence from September 14, 2016 after complying the statutory formalities viz. submission of performance security, signing of contract as per the LOA. The Commercial Operation Date (COD) will be achieved in the current quarter.

MEP Infrastructure Developers is engaged in tolling operations of the road infrastructure sector, with a pan-India presence. MEP Infra is in the business of pure toll collection projects as well as OMT projects, which involve maintenance obligations in addition to toll collection on operational roads (including highways) constructed by third parties.
