Canara Bank trades with traction on the bourses

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 312.90, up by 6.35 points or 2.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 306.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 307.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 315.60 and Rs. 305.00 respectively. So far 266733 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 315.60 on 08-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 156.20 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 315.60 and Rs. 275.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16979.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.30%, while institutions and non-institutions held 25.78% and 7.92% respectively.

Canara Bank has been conferred with the ‘Dun & Bradstreet Banking Awards 2016’ for being the Best Bank under priority sector lending and Best Retail Growth performer amongst public sector banks.

The award was received by Harideesh Kumar B, Executive Director, Canara Bank, from Vinod Rai, Chairman of Banks Board Bureau, in the presence of Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, in Mumbai.

Canara Bank is an Indian state-owned bank headquartered in Bangalore, in Karnataka. It was established at Mangalore in 1906, making it one of the oldest banks in the country.
