Jaiprakash Associates successfully commenced commercial operations at Unit-2 of 660 MW of (3 X 660 MW = 1980 MW) Bara Supercritical Thermal Power Project (TPP) on September 10, 2016. Bara Supercritical Thermal Power Project is being implemented by Prayagraj Power Generation Company, a material unlisted subsidiary of the company.

Jaiprakash Associates is the engineering and construction arm of the Jaypee group focused on development of river valley and hydro electric projects and a leader in construction of river valley and hydropower projects on turnkey basis for more than four decades.
