Tata Metaliks surges on inking MoU to set up a skill development centre in Paschim Midnapore

Tata Metaliks is currently trading at Rs. 424.80, up by 5.20 points or 1.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 419.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 422.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 427.65 and Rs. 422.00 respectively. So far 23037 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 512.90 on 22-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 78.00 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 444.35 and Rs. 411.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1072.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.09%, while institutions and non-institutions held 3.53% and 46.38% respectively.

Tata Metaliks (TML) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Paschim Banga Society to set up a skill development centre in Paschim Midnapore.

As per the MoU, the skill development centre will train 1,000-1,200 youth annually through a reputed National Skill Development Corporation-approved training partner in vocational courses. The initial focus will be on plumbing, electrician, carpentry, beauty & wellness, hospitality and security courses.

The company is engaged in manufacturing of pig iron, casting, iron ore fines, coke breeze and limestone. The company is promoted by Tata Steel which was formerly known as The Tata Iron and Steel Company.
