Wonderla Holidays sets up solar plant in its amusement park in Hyderabad

Wonderla Holidays’ Wonderla Amusement Park, Hyderabad has become the first amusement park in the country to set up a solar plant with an installed capacity of 500kW. The move is seen as a firm step in Wonderla's endeavour to build environment friendly parks in India. The installed solar plant will generate 2000kWh daily and it is expected cater to 25 percent of Wonderla's daily power requirement which can be enhanced to 1000kW.

To promote the idea of Sustainable Entertainment, Wonderla has also instituted Wonderla Environment & Energy Conservation Awards for schools with a view to encourage and recognize their efforts in environment protection.

Wonderla Holidays is one of the largest operators of amusement parks in India. The company also owns and operates a resort beside its amusement park in Bangalore under the brand name ‘Wonderla Resort’ which has been operational since March 2012.
