Hindustan Zinc has reported results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2012.
The Company’s net profit for the quarter dipped by 20.35% at Rs 1412.84 crore as compared to Rs 1771.27 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011. Its total Income has decreased marginally by 0.84% to Rs 3516.06 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 from Rs 3545.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
On an annual basis, the Company posted an increase of 12.76% in its full net profit at Rs 5526.04 crore as compared to Rs 4900.49 crore in the 2010-11 fiscal. Its total income has increased by 18.73% to Rs 12948.14 crore for the year under review from Rs 10905.19 crore for previous year.
The board of the company have recommended final dividend at 45 per cent (Rs 0.90 per share) for the year 2011-2012. The total dividend for the 2011-12 fiscal is 120 per cent (Rs 2.40 per share of Rs 2 each).
