HDFC Bank’s Q1 net profit expands by 34%

HDFC Bank, country's second largest private sector bank, has reported results for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The bank’s net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 has increased by 33.66% at Rs 1084.98 crore as compared to Rs 811.71 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Total income has increased by 31.19% to Rs 7098 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5410.57 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
