MOIL trades with traction on the bourses

MOIL is currently trading at Rs. 326.00, up by 7.65 points or 2.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 318.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 324.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 328.80 and Rs. 322.35 respectively. So far 25582 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 330.00 on 27-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 180.10 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 330.00 and Rs. 276.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5487.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.00%, while institutions and non-institutions held 9.60% and 10.40% respectively.

MOIL, country’s top manganese ore producer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) jointly with Government of Madhya Pradesh, Mineral Resources Department and Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation (MPSMCL), a PSU under Government of Madhya Pradesh, to conduct exploration and prospecting works in Madhya Pradesh.

The MoU also envisages formation of a Joint Venture Company (JVC) between MOIL (51%) and MPSMCL (49%), in case of availability of ore is proved, in any area. The MoU is aimed at increasing the mineral resources in Madhya Pradesh.

MOIL is the largest iron ore company in India and fifth largest in world. It currently operates seven underground mines (Kandri, Munsar, Beldongri, Gumgaon, Chikla, Balaghat and Ukwa mines) and three opencast mines (Dongri Buzurg, Sitapatore/Sukli, and Tirodi).
