Gammon Infra’s SPV gets provisional completion certificate for Kosi Maha Sethu

Gammon Infrastructure’s special purpose vehicle (SPV) Kosi Bridge Infrastructure Company (KBICL) has received the ‘Provisional Completion Certificate’ effective from February 08, 2012 for Kosi Maha Sethu project from the Independent Engineer of the project appointed by NHAI.

KBICL is entitled to receive semi-annual annuities Rs 31.9 crores each during the concession period of the project. This is the fifth operational road project in the company’s basket.'

The Kosi Maha Sethu, a bridge across the river Kosi on National Highway No.57 in Supaul District of Bihar, developed by Gammon Infrastructure Projects through its SPV -- KBICL -- and constructed by Gammon India was inaugurated on February 08, 2012.

Earlier, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had awarded the project involving development and operation of a four lane bridge across the river Kosi along with 8.2 km of access roads and 22 km (approx.) of guide bunds / afflux bunds, to the Company on BOT ‘annuity’ basis.
