Amara Raja Batteries registers 10% growth in Q2 net profit

Amara Raja Batteries has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported 10.44% rise in its net profit at Rs 136.32 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 123.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased 17.84% to Rs 1532.42 crore for Q2FY17 from Rs 1300.38 crore for the corresponding quarter in previous year. 

Amara Raja Batteries is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. It was founded in 1985. ARBL was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three-year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
